In "Navigating The TV Writer's Room - How to Succeed Creatively and Professionally," Megan will break down the essentials for young writers managing their first job, including
-Pitching ideas and navigating the creative process
-Dealing with showrunners and coworkers in a writers' room
-Bringing your best creative self to the table and collaborating effectively
-Managing life and finances outside the room while building a sustainable career
-Developing work habits to improve both in-room and solo writing
Megan will also host a Q&A session for students who want to dive deeper into the realities of writing for television.
Megan has written and produced three seasons of Greg Daniels’s Upload (Amazon), served as an on-set writer for Portlandia (IFC), and has worked on Broad City, The Soul Man, and Legends of Chamberlain Heights.
